YŪGEN tours: who, what & why?

Dear travel enthusiasts everywhere,
Welcome to this first YŪGEN tours blog post in which I will share with you who I am, why I founded YŪGEN and what you can expect when you book a holiday with YŪGEN tours.
My name is Iris, born in Belgium, Europe. I am nearing forty and have had a travel virus for as long as I can remember. I graduated with a Bachelor degree in Tourism, and later also obtained a degree in Insurances.
My main hobby? Travelling of course! I love to travel around different continents, being greeted everywhere by radiant smiles of strangers. That is how I have been inspired by, and feel connected to, so many beautiful people I’ve met all over the globe. Travelling gives me a better understanding of the world we live in, and of myself.
Why I founded YŪGEN tours and what YŪGEN can do for you
I love the diversity of our world. Diversity in people, but also in nature. And so I care about how we travel. Travelling can free your mind, trigger new insights and can make you richer and happier. But it can also have negative consequences and so it is important to travel responsibly, with respect for nature, culture and for the people of the countries we visit. YŪGEN tours aims to create win-win situations, for you and for the destinations you visit, by offering real sustainable tourism and unique experiences.

I always investigate and visit the destinations personally before I share them with you. And I only select those very unique places that give you so much more than just a pretty location. I know where to find the nicest local guides with in-depth knowledge of their home region and I am eager to introduce you to them.
