The Douro Valley, by train or self-drive?

Why not take a train from Porto City to the very heart of the Douro Valley and watch picturesque slopes and villages roll by? On top of that you get to admire the lovely train stations, decorated with painted tile panels. If you prefer to drive yourself, don’t worry: you can rent a car or drive your own. Whichever way you like to travel, we can help you in putting together your personalized travel plan.
Stay overnight in an authentic Quinta, hike from winery to winery and of course, see it all from another perspective by taking a boat on the Douro river. And of course… don’t forget to taste the local wines and food! Combine with a visit to the famous wine cellars in Porto City to top off your vacation.
